Class Description
Zoom is a popular platform for conducting video meetings, events and classes. It is used by SHIFT and organizations of all types. For friends and family, Zoom can also be used for family gatherings, virtual events, playing games or even virtual happy hours. It is an important tool for helping adults stay connected and engaged during the pandemic.
SHIFT members already have experience attending SHIFT online events. This workshop will explore the two other core Zoom functions for conducting your own Zoom meeting.
This class, delivered on Zoom, will explore the two core functions that are used to conduct Zoom events. You will learn the essentials for 1) scheduling a Zoom meeting and 2) hosting a Zoom meeting.

Practice Scheduling a Meeting
You can schedule test meetings and grab the invitation text and later come back and delete those meetings. Just use your own Zoom account and follow the steps you learned in the Zoom lesson. You can find those steps here:
Practice Starting a Meeting
You can practice starting a meeting with the Test Meetings you schedule above. Find the meetings in your meetings list and click Start. You can find instruction here.
Practice Hosting
Find a Zoom buddy who can attend a practice meeting in order to practice the tasks related to attendee management and to get feedback on sharing.
